A small group of patients make up the Patient Participation Group (PPG) and have met on a regular basis for some years. They are a link between the surgery and the patient population and are there to give the patients’ point of view on all aspects of Monkseaton Medical Centre.

The PPG would now like to set up a larger group of patients who have access to the internet with an email address to act as a sounding board for projects, new ideas, surveys etc. There are no meetings involved and it will all take place via the medium of e mail and the internet. The PPG would welcome anyone who is interested, young mums, pensioners, house bound, employed, unemployed, any age from 16 to 106. Anyone who is interested in becoming part of the Virtual Patient Group should leave their e mail details at the reception desk and a member of the PPG will get back to them in due course.
